Dira Le'haskir returns to the Library!
In this lively and acrobatic performance by Peter Olson and Ilan Vitemberg of Up-a-Tree Puppetry, children will learn what it takes for different animals to live together in peace and harmony. Especially for children ages 2 to 6 and their families, this program is based on renowned author Leah Goldberg’s book Dira Le’haskir, a favorite story for generations of Israeli families. Peter Olson is a Bay Area puppeteer who makes puppets, sets, and stories for children of all ages. Ilan Vitemberg is the Director of Educational Support Services at Jewish LearningWorks, a performer, and a member of the Up-a- Tree Puppetry troop. This program will be in the Hebrew language without translation.
Presented by the Israel Education Initiative of Jewish LearningWorks and co-sponsored by the Jewish Community Library, the Israeli House of the Consulate General of Israel, and the World Zionist Organization-Department of Diaspora Activities.
