Born Under Fire with Rina Neiman and Sue Fishkoff

Free program with free garage parking on Pierce St between Ellis and Eddy streets. 

Rina Neiman’s debut novel, Born Under Fire, is based on historical documents and events and on the life of her mother, Shulamit Dubno Neiman, a Sabra, a musician, and one of the first generation of modern-day Israelis. Shula, a child prodigy pianist, grows up in the conflict zone of British Mandate Palestine as war erupts throughout the world, and becomes a witness to the birth of the State of Israel.

Artifacts from the author’s collection, including one-of-a-kind Yemenite and early Israeli dresses, will be on display at this event.

Rina Z. Neiman is a writer, event producer, and public relations professional. She lives in
Marin County with her husband and son.
