Social Justice, Israel and Teen Engagement

  • Congregation Netivot Shalom 1316 University Avenue Berkeley, CA, 94702 United States (map)

IsraAID’s new educational resources focus on engaging students with broad principles of global humanitarianism- encouraging teens and young adults to think deeply about their obligation to their fellow human. Designed by Israel’s leading experts in humanitarian aid, the two programs, Refugees: Fleeing Global Conflict and Emergency Response: Addressing Global Crises, utilize digital media, facilitated discussion, and experiential activities to highlight IsraAID’s vital global work to engage students with principles of Tikkun Olam and social justice.

At this session, youth professionals will have a chance to experience this program first-hand, and learn how to facilitate it for the teens in your community. Participants will broaden their knowledge of current events, as well as their understanding of their own individual place in society and ability to affect change.

We will be joined by IsraAID's Senior Director of Operations, Sarith Honigstein, who will facilitate the educational program.
