Jewish Family Engagement Network
a community of practice for educators and engagement professionals
who work with Jewish families.
This year, we’ll explore Liminal Moments.
Childhood is full of transition - from preschool to Kindergarten, from 5th grade to bnai mitzvah, and from bnai mitzvah to high school. How do we help our kids mark these moments? Starting with our opening gathering in SF; at regional meetings in Berkeley, Foster City, and Palo Alto throughout the year; and during our two lunch and learns in SF, we’ll explore these Liminal Moments.
JFEN participants will:
- Experience adaptable program formats
Consider the impact of transitions in the lives of families and identify ways to offer support
Connect with colleagues to learn, collaborate and grow
Attend one, a few or all - no obligation
We hope that the JFEN will inspire connections and relationships, reducing the feeling of isolation or the feeling of re-creating the wheel in a vacuum.
Registration begins at $18.00.
REGIONAL NETWORK MEETINGS AT A GLANCE
Details in each event above - register for any and all JFEN opportunities at the bottom of this page or through any event above.
Each meeting will model a family program showcasing different programmatic styles. We will debrief our experience and consider ways that the modeled program could be adapted to different ages and stages of family life and programmatic content.
